2004 Concha Y Toro Terrunyo Cabernet Sauvignon
AC: Another solid proof of why Chilean belongs to the ‘good value’ group of red that competes head to head with the Californians. Terrunyo has a very powerful black fruit nose. Once in your mouth it attacks with tasty fruits and cedar, balanced off quickly with its acidity and alcohol. I do find the alcohol level a bit high in the mid-palate… but this wine does have a strong powerful tannic finish. Chocolate comes at the very end but this wine does share the ‘I want more’ trait with dark chocolate. This tasty wine can be enjoyed with light snack alone. 91
