GINI Wine Tasting

VW: On open, this was very closed.. giving very little on nose and palate. It continued to open for the 2 hours dinner showing dark berries nose. Same on the palate with smoke, quite spicy and some vanilla. Full and velvet, this opened up nicely to be very enjoyable. Quite grapey but with balanced acidity and tannins. This will improve for the next few years or decant for couple hours if enjoying now. An excellent Rioja Crianza for the budget cellar. 92 (April, 2009)
