2003 Flor de Pingus
VW: Definitely the wine I was most looking forward to and I was not disappointed. Black berries, currants plus that citrus oranges, lemons on the nose. Focused and fine palate. Good density and velvet. This is a cut above the rest in terms of class. Very young and has good potential, it should show it’s best in 3-5 years. 92+ (Dec 8, 2007)
AC: Not as strong a nose as the Mugas. With its slightly acidic palate I find this second wine of Pingus not as much fun as the Tinto Pesquera we tried the same night. Maybe it’s like Vincent said it can be better in 3-5 years… but I am not quite at that level yet.
