1999 Boisrenard Chateauneuf Du Pape
AC: I have always liked CdP for its uniqueness in the red wine world. This one is no exception from the nose all the way to the finish it’s just… different than other red wine. Nicely concentrated but it doesn’t give you the ‘too powerful’ feeling. Nicely balanced and tannic with a good finish. My type of CdP. 93
VW: I guess AC enjoyed this more than me. It was rather tannic with some bitterness on open. The wine was ripe but lots of fruit seems to be gone and it deteriorated over time with an abrupt finish. Definitely more enjoyable on open and probably a better wine when younger. A rare case that our notes do not match, maybe we need to re-taste another bottle haha…. 89
